It is located on a small area on the main route next to the desert flora and on a larger section in the southern part of the botanic garden, where it features several representative trees.

Among the trees and shrubs that can be seen by visitors, the area next to the desert flora includes: Magnolia virginiana (the first magnolia studied for scientific purposes), Diospyros virginiana (the American persimmon), Aesculus parviflora (the bottlebrush buckeye), Robinia hispida (the rose-acacia), Hypericum kalmianum (the Kalm’s St. John’s wort). Other ornamental North American species are native herbaceous plants such as Tagetes (the marigold), Rudbeckia (the coneflower), Tradescantia virginiana, Ageratum, etc.
